John Girouard

John E. Girouard is the president and CEO of Capital Asset Management Group and Capital Investment Advisors Inc. John founded Capital Asset Management Group in 1981 after graduating college with a degree in economics and organizational communications. John has authored two books that outline his philosophy, is a contributor to Forbes and is also a local columnist for the Georgetowner and Downtowner.
Over his career, John has become a recognized thought-leader and mentor in the financial industry, receiving numerous industry awards and serving on many advisory boards John is an active member of the community supporting many local and national nonprofit organizations, including the Humane Rescue Alliance, Wounded Warrior Project, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Citizens Association of Georgetown and the National Children’s Center. He was treasurer of the Historic Georgetown Club as well as a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland College Park Foundation serving on the finance committee for the alumni association for more than 15 years. John grew up the youngest of four in Hartford, Connecticut, and relocated to Washington, DC in 1978.
He currently resides in Georgetown with his wife of more than 30 years, Colleen, and is the proud father of Caitlin and Coley, both graduates of the University of Notre Dame.
